What qualities do they possess?
Charlie is very honest when he needs to be. He over thinks things a lot and he tries to not bring too much attention to himself. He is very caring, thoughtful and creative, which was shown when he was choosing gifts for his friends. He is well organised and is very smart as he gets straight A’s throughout his schooling. He is a very good listener and remembers things that you wouldn’t expect a person to remember.
Skills and Abilities:
Charlie is a very good writer, which is proven when his teacher gives him extra books to write essays on; even his friends buy him a typewriter so he can pursue his career as a writer
How do other characters see them?
Patrick dubs Charlie a wallflower, which can demonstrate that Charlie’s friends see him as someone who is very quiet but takes things in. During Christmas the group organises ‘Secret Santa’ where each member of the group gets another person and puts presents in their locker without them knowing that it’s them. After it all they get together and give their final presents and guess who their Secret Santa was. Charlie was given Patrick and at the gathering, Patrick knows that it was Charlie because the presents were all thoughtful and creative.
Who motivates them? Charlie’s Aunt Helen motivates him a lot in his life. He looked up to her for everything as a child. Sam also motivates Charlie because she means so much to him.
What are Charlie's flaws?
One of Charlie’s flaws is that he goes along with the crowd; he takes the drugs that all of the others take and he starts drinking.
What do you remember most about the character?
The thing that I remember most clearly about Charlie is that he is so caring and thoughtful. I also remember that he listens to everything and he just wants everyone around him to be happy before he is.
